Holiday Hair Gabbie

Good morning everyone.
Thought I would share with you all an easel card I have made for the FaeryInk Red, Green and gold challenge.
I have used Holiday Hair Gabbie.
I love this digi.
I have coloured her using Promarkers...
Skin-Coral, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink, Satin, Ivory
Hair-Henna, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Sandstone
Bows/Ornaments-Gold, Canary, Buttercup, Cardinal Red, Poppy, Red, Holly, Forest Green, Lime Green
Lips/eyes-Cardinal Red, Red, Prussian Blue, Blue Pearl, Pastel Blue, Holly and Forest Green.
Green glitter rope wrapped around berry twigs and around the main image add extra sparkle that twinkles in candle light as do the little gems.
Aren't they just fab ?
The ribbon was originally white and as I have run out of red I coloured it using the Poppy Promarker.
Hand tied and twirled then added using a glue gun.
More berry twigs, poinsettia and gems added to act as the stopper.
The berrys, twigs and gems are from the huge flower bundle stash the hubster got for me.
I have decided to keep this one for myself and she will be sitting on my mantel piece in between the candles and tinsel.
Thank you for visiting and looking today :)

Poppy surprise

Hi everyone I'm back again.
On my desk earlier I had a Poppy card close to finishing.
Well it's finished but no longer a card I will be giving to anyone lol
I am being a little greedy and keeping it for my desk.
As said in a post what seems like eons ago Poppies,
particularly red ones, remind me of my grandparents.
We lived with them for a while when I was younger
and wherever you went there were fields covered with
glorious vibrant red poppies.
So I added a little calendar and turned it into an easel card.
I will be displaying it as in the 1st picture but with the option
of the calendar as well. Tada lol
I have to say I was unsure about the stamp and die sets as this is my first
but if this set is anything to go by I am hooked.
I stamped and coloured using promarkers first and then cut out
using the matching die set and it cuts beautifully first time.
No having to run it through the cuttlebug numerous times and I didn't even
have to add any paper shims.
Just the B and C plates and voila.
Items I used are...
Promarkers - Poppy, Pine, Grass, Apple and Black
Spellbinders Elegant Ovals Die -  S4-425
Sheena Douglas Poppy Die - SD-PPMD-POP
Sheena Douglas Poppy Stamp - SD-PPS-POP
Ribbon and hand tied bow, glitter and pearls.

Birthday Ford Easel for Brown Sugar

Morning everyone *waves*
Here is my second DT card for the Brown Sugar Challenge blog and the theme this time is Boys/Men and sponsoring it this time round are QKR Stampede and here is what they say
'We have several rubber stamp lines featuring over 10,000 designs. Our QKR Stampede line is a unique, somewhat quirky, style with lots of humor and character. Not a day goes by we don't get a chuckle out of a design we run across! '
so do pop on over and join in the fun.

I have created a nice and simple CAS Easel card for my Father In Law.
He hates anything fancy and loves old cars with his very first car being a ford so I know he will love this.
The image I have used is digi20205 Old Car and is also available in rubber form here, coloured with pearl paints. I added onto some holographic card then onto white card. I added a sentiment the same way and finished off with some black candi.

Thank you for looking :)

Just for you flowers and caged Easel card

Woohoo back with another card.
Thank you for the comments on my other cards :)
I have used my Tim Holtz birdcage die again.
I am actually falling more in love with this one each time I use it.
Have you noticed it's another blue and white combo ?
I love it. Always reminds me of Winter snowfalls.
I hate the cold but love the season LOL
The paper pack I have used is 'Pocket full of posies' and I love the papers with the texture and glitter in them.
Sentiment is a stamp from Helz Cuppleditch's Just for you Panda
Ribbon die is by Marianne Designs and I have threaded it with blue ribbon and added hand tied bows and added some gems.
I have also used one of her floral dies. The leaves are in the cage.
The flower petals I have edged with red ink to match the red in the papers, stack them and added a red heart gem to each. Due to the lack of sun I wasn't able to pick up the glitter with the camera but there is some honest LOL

Also if anyone has any hints and tips for applying to DT's do please let me know as I would love to be able to get on one.
Thank you and thank you for looking :)

Caged bird new card and die and I blame

BRENDA ROFL

Good morning my lovlies.
I hope you are having a truly wonderful Sunday.
The sunshine has returned and the birds are chattering away in the garden and it has lifted my spirits no end.
I have a card today I am super proud of as you will tell by the amount of pictures.
I had to buy a new die and one I wasn't even sure would work with my cuttlebug LOL
Is it possible to fall even further in love with this machine than I already am ?
This little green machine has taken me to a whole new level in my card making and I love it.
Anywhoo this die I have bought is purely the fault of one woman.
Brenda of Floral Fantasies. Yep *nods head* it's all your fault.
Brenda is the first blog I began to stalk and I just adore all the cards Brenda has made using the die by Tim Holtz so I had to buy and try for myself.

I am extra proud of myself because for the cage, bird and flowers I have only used white card and shimmer paints.
These paints are exactly the same as the shimmering H20's but they only cost me £1.99 from The Works 2 years ago.
They give the effect of perlized (sp?) card at a fraction of the cost and they are more fun to use.
I have added fine sand in with the paint to give a grainy shimmer texture.
I used Marianne flower and butterfly dies and sizzix for the flourishes.
These are among my favourites at the moment as you can mix and match them in so many different ways.
The center of the flowers are from provocrafts snowflake die :)
I added some ribbon which I have twisted and some bows made using the same ribbon.
The card blank is texture embossed and the papers I have used were free from card making and papercraft.
I have used some mirror shimmer card and the stamp is a SeeD sentiment which says "Thank you from the bottom of my heart"
I hope you can see all the shimmer in the photo's.
It looks much better in real life :)

Dies used....
Sizzix Bigz Tim Holtz caged bird 656634

Spring hill birthday and flower embossing pics

Thank you everyone for the fabulous comments on yesterdays card and my excitement over my Cuttlebug.
Firstly I shall post my new card and then at the bottom will be the side by side pics for the embossing folder I used in yesterdays and todays cards as requested by Melody D.
I have created this easel card for the colour challenge at Cuttlebug Mania
Colours to use are Purple and Green.
Dies used for the flower and leaves are from Sizzix and the little dragonflies are a punch.
The glittery purple background and purple ribbon are from good old poundland.

The pics below are of the flower embossing folder I have used from Provocraft.

Angellica Angel easel card

Afternoon all.

I hope you are having a pleasant day.
Nothing out of the ordinary here today.
Everyday seems to be the same LOL
I have a card to show off today that I am really pleased with.
I am sure this is another that will eventually find it's way to my Mother-In-Law.
I have used my Angellica digi freebie for the main focus, once again coloured in with the £1 land colour pencils.
Only downfall is there aren't very many colours LOL
Cut out and added to a silver backing card.
Her wings and center of her dress I have painted with holographic glitter glue.
My Son wasn't over the moon to have his artist brushes used for glue but he forgave me ;)
I added some papers from last months card making and paper craft for the card.
Added a strip of glittery silver ribbon and some lace.
Can you tell yet that I like glitter ?
Popped on some flowers and gems and voila.
One completed easel card.
Thank you for looking and i'll be back later with another freebie for you all so be sure to pop back :)
