Special day with butterflies

Morning all.
What miserable weather.
I am sure it's supposed to be Summer and yet it feels more like Autumn.
Pouring rain and winds. Even had to put on a wooly jumper.
I have a card today created for this weeks Allsorts challenge
Theme is to add a butterfly. Nice and simple.
Hope you like it and thank you for looking.
Dies used are Spellbinders Tudor Rose card front and Marianne Designs butterflies.

Banner Birthday

Morning all.
I hope your day is as beautiful as mine.
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the neghbours are drilling.
Ok so I hope you don't have the drilling.
Thumping headache for the last week doesn't help.
Still, onwards and upwards, at least i'm still breathing lol
Todays card has been created for the Allsorts challenge add a banner or flag.
Wouldn't you believe it, just when I need them I can't find my little banner die.
Absolutely typical but that wasn't going to stop me.
So instead of my pretty banner die I have cut triangles for the banner.
I had a pretty banner paper for the background and was able to cut the triangles from the excess to match.
It wasn't until I had finished the card that I noticed a huge error.
The paper is upside down lol
Oh well, I think it just adds character and at least I know it's different.
Would be boring if I was normal *grin*
The stamp is by Helz Cuppleditch and coloured with my new Spectrum Noir pencils.
Colours used are 007,028, 036, 041, 050, 061, 064, 065, 074, 087, 089 and 100
They are so beautiful to colour with and easy to blend.
I don't have the blending solution or paper stumps so I just used my fingers.
White organza ribbon coloured with cool aqua promarker and a matching handmade bow.
Die used for the party time sentiment is Marianne Design LR 0141 finished off withe some bling and flatback pearls.

WOYWW #320

Good morning one and all.
Not a lot to say about my desk really but it is
a little tidier than it normally is lol
I wanted to have a go at the spotlight technique
so you can see my attempt at a topper but I
have to say I am not a fan of it.
Might have to give it another go just to make sure
I don't like it and it's not just because I am crud at it LOL
I have my Tudor Rose card die set out as I am about to
test it out for the first time. Not sure what to create
with it yet but hopefully I can come up with something.
Don't forget to pop along to Miss Julia to see what this
WOYWW is all about. Be warned though it can get
a little addicting.
Appologies about the poor picture.
The lighting today is horrible.

Merry Christmas Card Box

Good morning everyone.
This creation was originally supposed to be my post for Stamping Sensations
Guest Designer spot due to winning their June challenge (wooohooo go me)
HOWEVER dummy that I am created this and it wasn't until I had taken
the photos that I suddenly noticed it wouldn't be any good.
Why? Because Stamping Sensations as the name suggests is a
stamping blog *doh* I had been so excited to use my prize of the
Tonic Studios full set of  Pretoria Duo dies that I completely
forgot to use a stamp *slaps head*.
For anyone who would like to try the Card box the tutorial
can be found here on youtube.
The papers are from my Christmas stash, I cut and inked all the
edges using a sponge and Promarkers Forest green and pear green.
I assembled the box as per the tutorial and then added my matted
paper layers.
Added all the die cuts and poinsettia corsage and lots and lots of
fine gold glitter dust.
Inside the box I have just added some sweets I had for the photo
but these will be removed and chocolate added when I give it as a gift :)
Dies used ..
Tonic Studios - Pretoria Duo Caps A-N and O-Z
Spellbinders - S4-462 Labels 39
Tattered Lace - Sparkles

Beach Party

Hello and welcome to my new followers.
Todays card is a quickie for the Die Cuttin Divas challenge.
With a theme of Ice Cream I had a hard time coming up with something until
I came across a summer paper pack that came free with Cardmaking and papercraft.
Isn't it cute ? The boys are having a beacj party with their friends to celebrate
the end of their A-levels but I can't see them using this lol
I distress all layer edges and die cuts with promarkers Gold and a sponge.
Great way to use them as I have no distress inks lol
Items used...
Summer papers from Cardmkaing and papercraft
Promarkers Gold, lime green and pear green.
3 Dies from Spellbinders S4-425 also a flower die and leaf flourish die
(unpackaged when I got them so unsure of the names)

Fairy garden

Morning everyone.
Todays card has been created for my Mother-in-laws birthday.
It is the completed card from Wednesdays desk post :)
I distressed and matted 3 layers added satin ribbon and lace to the side.
Die cut, stamped, coloured and glittered the main image.
Lastly I created a pretty ( I think) little corsage with paper, ribbon flowers,
feathers, metal spirals and lots of glitter.

Items used...
Papers by Forever friends called Forever Love.
Stamp used is from a fairy set that came free with Cardmaking and papercraft.
Coloured with Promarkers Cocoa, Forestgreen, pear green and Sky blue
for recolouring the pearl butterfly.
All 3 diecuts are from Spellbinders.
The largest one os S4-464 Labels 39 Decorative elements.
The smaller label and leaf spray I am unsure of the names
as they were bought second hand and came unpackaged.
Lots of blue ink for distressing and edging.

Penny Black Sentiment

Happy Sunday to you all.
Not quite sure what happened to Summer.
We have had pouring rain since 6am this morning.
Shouldn't complain as the garden really does need it.
I am currently sat by the window with it open listening to the rain.
I hate getting wet but I do love listening to it.
Enough of me prattling in.
My card on this visit has been created for the
This months theme is 'Anything goes with a sentiment'.
I created a gate fold card using papers from a magazine
freebie pack called Summer Picnic.
At least I think that's what it was called. The front cover has gone.
As it's picnic season (not today lol) I thought this fitted perfectly.
My main focal stamp  used Penny Blacks Hedehog Joy.
I love this stamp to pieces and use it quite often.
Coloured him with Promarkers Ivory, Grey 3 and 4, Black, tan and pastel pink.
I used a makeup sponge for the sky and grass using a pastel blue and green ink pad.
Other stamps used are Hobby crafts wedding bird and
Helz Bazoo sentiment and flower plus a little busy bee.
Dies used are Xcut XCU-503015 the nesting scalloped squares.
Once I started it this card came together quickly and I am
very pleased with how it turned out.
Especially the hand made bow as I have problems making them
thanks to my stupid fingers lol

Wowzers

Happy Fantabulous Friday.
I could not believe it when I logged in this morning and saw my
Poppy card in my own blogroll on the left of my blog.
I scurried over to Stamping Sensations and lo and behold there it was.
I WON.
Woohoooo
Carried on with the rest of my visits.
Got to Penny Black and More and Wowzers I had been chosen as one
of the winners there for my Butterfly Kisses Fairy.
I tell you, you could have knocked me down with a feather as I
have never been what you would call a lucky person lol.
After the loss of my father in March this has been a blessing in disguise.
That and it's my birthday on Tuesday so perfect timing LOL
They always say these things happen in 3's so I think i'll buy a lottery ticket this week ROFL
A huge thank you to the ladies for the wonderful challenges
and for choosing my cards.
Anywhoooo the cards below are the ones that were chosen
*insert insanely huge cheezy grin here*

Second on the 2nd

Good morning everyone *phew* wasn't it an absolute scorcher yesterday ?
Hottest July on record for us and it's only been 1 day.
Thankfully today is a lot cooler.
Anywhooo
My post today is a second look at one I love for the blog hop you can find here.

It was the day I got my Cuttlebug ( boy do I love it) and the first card I made with it.
Takes cardmaking to a whole new level.

It's Official and Penny Black's Hedgehog Joy

It's Official......
I have the best hubster whom I love very much.
Why ?
He bought me a Cuttlebug LOL
Of course I love him dearly anyway.
Not a brand new one but I already love it to pieces and i've only used it today.
All I need now are dies but i'll be kind to his wallet and wait a little while.

I used my cuttlebug to finish off the card below for the Penny Black and more allsorts challenge blog.

Firstly I used a see-d background stamp in a pink whisper ink.
I then embossed with floral provocraft folder using my cuttlebug (love saying that)
Die cut some flowers and leaves using Marianne Design Creatables Die - Floral 3 LR0107 and a free paper from last months cardmaking and papercraft.
The ribbon and bow I made using the ribbon that tied my blank cards (yes i'm a cheapskate)
I then stamped Penny Black's Hedgehog Joy and coloured using my poundland pencils.
Growing fond of them now lol. Used a fiskars template to cut the circle and inked the edges using the same colour ink I used for the background.
Stamped and cut out a sentiment, inked the edges and used 3D sticky pads for the circle and sentiment and Anitas tacky glue for the flowers, ribbon and finished it off with some card candi in the center of each flower.

Can you tell yet what is missing ? Glitter. Yep. Not a single spec of glitter added. A first for me.
Also before anyone spots it. I embossed the card the wrong way round ROFL
Instead of the flowers popping out the front they are on the inside but hey ho you live and learn LOL

Thank you for looking.

WOYWW #317 - Super tidy

NOT lol
If you thought last week was a mess lord alone knows what your going to think this week.
I don't think there is more than an inch of table in any one area.
No project in progress and it was my sons birthday yesterday so everything got dumped to clear the floor.
The can looks precarious but I had just finished it.
Should have put it in the bin but thought that was the least of the mess lol
Hope your weather is as fabulous as mine.
29 today and tomorrow is going to be even hotter.
Needless to say I shall be digging out the fan tomorrow.
Thank you for visiting and peeking :)
Pop on over to Julia who started this crazy desk snooping scheme
and hop on board.
